It's just about an hour before the big BZA meeting in McCordsville. We have applied for a special exception to the zoning of the Meijer miracle building (as it is starting to be called). We've declared this a day of prayer and fasting for the meeting to turn out in our favor. I don't know if this is a big deal or not but just having the possibility of not being able to meet there has kept me from totally enjoying the blessing of the building. It has also kept me on my knees. So often when life gets busy, we run ahead with our plans and forget to look for God's hand in our work. I'm grateful for this meeting tonight. It's a chance to tell what God has been doing and to make him known to some of the community leaders. I feel a little like the disciples who were sent out with the assurance of Jesus in Matt 10:17-20. He sai, "On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you."
I haven't been arrested but I have met a couple members of the McCordsville police department! I'm counting on these words of Jesus to be true tonight. I'm believing we have already been granted a favorable opinion in the minds and hearts of these board members and I'm waiting on the Lord to show himself tonight! On My Knees, Greg.
